Our program is a great start to learning the basics of Tae Kwon Do
All classes are 30 minutes in length and separated by ages 5-8 and 9-15 and is offered at our Fair Oaks location only. Please click the link for the Fair Oaks Schedule.
This class is for children with High Functioning Autism and other MILD disabilities. Children should meet the following criteria: have some verbal skills, be toilet trained, have the ability to follow 1 step directions with prompting, have a parent/guardian present, and have a willingness to have fun.
Our goal for each student is to help them: develop social skills, foster decision making, increase confidence, listening and the ability to follow directions, offer sensory appropriate activities and most of all HAVE FUN!
Students will increase their physical fitness with an obstacle course, stretching, and TKD drills while also increasing their mental fitness with interactive games, mat chats and social interaction with their peers.
Parents are encouraged to help their child on the floor if needed. The Staff works with each parent and child to help build their confidence to eventually participate independently without parent help. (Please remember to remove your shoes)
All students are evaluated by the instructor on an individual basis for class readiness and participation.
Master Laura Aronoff, Mr. Will Burket, Mr. Evan Bowden and Mr. Rodolfo Faccini are our Black Belt Instructors and Mrs. Robin Moyher is our special education instructor who has over 10 years of experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum
Each student will have an individual card to track their attendance and progression
